CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19
The first case of COVID-19, or coronavirus, was diagnosed in Colorado on March 5, 2020. Colorado state and local public health agencies are working to limit and slow potential spread of this disease, and all Coloradans can help. We advise you to stay informed with reliable sources of information, take everyday actions to protect yourself and your community, and share accurate information.
Immigrants are feeling the effects of this crisis deeply. Many immigrants cannot work from home, are at risk of having their job eliminated, and are afraid of using testing and health care services because of the public charge rule that may expose them.
Center for Health Progress has created a relief fund to distribute cash assistance to immigrant families in Pueblo and Fort Morgan to support their immediate needs. 100% of donations go directly to immigrants in these communities, and immigrants themselves are leading the nomination and decision process to select recipients.
